The Trax & Musicians
(Hear Sample)
whiter than white
clarity simply blinding
it comes back to you
unaware of changing
blind, stoned, safely wasted..
like a slow addiction
you never need it so bad
till every apples got a razor
you want the sweetness you had
completely consumed
insidious wonder craving
your insides are bruised
all your senses wailing
blind stoned safely wasted..
life is so needy colored and bleeding
keep me, keep me safely wasted...
keep me, keep me colored i bleed
insidious yearning..
keep me, keep me, safely wasted...

we are feasters on a famined land
we want but we never understand
hey ahh, dying to pay the price
hey ahh, have another slice
black and white there's no shade of grey
we eat the future and we throw it away
blood red splashing over every space
this is my portrait of the human race
ba da ba ba....
we are centre of the picture frame
we want, precious little left to gain
and i just want to take it down
and i wanna break it now
black and white there's no shade of grey
we speak the truth and we hide it away
blood red splashing over every space
this is my portrait of the human race
and i just want to take it down
and i wanna break it down
black and white there's no shade of grey
we eat the future and we throw it away
some day crashing from this higher place
this is my portrait of the human race

i'm your red light, your greatest foe
i'm your high tide lying low
on the ready mark for you to set
on your holiday - the one from hell
in the meantime major blow
in your car crash, your latest toy
on the ready mark, will you still go
you know...i'll play with you
i'm the cancer that leaves you weak
i'm your leprechaun, on a losing streak
i'm the kerosene on your open fire...
fire rage in you...
nemesis - how painful it is - nemesis
i'm the dark side that let's you glow
i'm your fall guy, now you know
i'll be evermore within your soul
you know i rage in you
nemesis - you lose or you win - nemesis
i'm your red light on the ready mark
blow your hands dry, on the ready mark
nemesis - you lose or you win
nemesis - you take and you give
nemesis - you lose or you win
nemesis - you take and you give - nemesis

got a toolbar, i can show and hide it
come and zoom in next to me
here's a format i wanna try
let's put the x into hypertext
we could leave everything behind
through the window to the other side...
won't you.. download me?
undo - edit me
won't you.. download me?
undo...
got a dedicated line for you to dial in
wecanmerge when you're feeling bad
copy/paste do whatever you want with me
best feeling that you've never had
here a thing that we gotta try
let's build a home page in cyberspace
we could leave everything behind
through the window to the other side...
and a web of strife is saving over my file....

get out of bed, body like lead
eyeballs are hanging out my head
fur on my teeth, can hardly breathe
cut loose but hung me up instead
can't face the day, can't face the day
don't wanna play, get away, get away
too hard to think, my world of drink
is in my mind and in my skin
one step outside, could fry my eyes
feeling my life is on the brink
cant face the day.....
it's only pain, can't complain
can't change it anyway
it's time to pay, shoot to k
can't change it anyway....
go back to bed, go rest my head
i wouldn't change it anyway
time to pay....

Waiting for Venus formed in 1996, and quickly gained recognition as a hard-working and rock-solid outfit.
The bands' name, Waiting for Venus, comes from recognising that the earth is falling behind in it’s ability to replenish itself under the onslaught of human greed, and as such, humans find it more and more difficult to make a difference, and so, as Venus matures as a place we can move to in the future, we are all just Waiting....for Venus.
The band was hailed as the best new band of 1997 by local radio. As well as regular airplay, the band received great reviews from national Triple M radio, SAFM, and top mags DB Magazine, and Rip It Up, just to name a few.
"Interviews on radio reflected our views at the time on conservation and earth care". The band had its live debut on “Back To The Wild”; a wallaby re-release support gig featuring bands The Mark of Cain , Kinetic Playground, & Testeagles. With this and other ventures the band raised much needed capital and awareness for conservation issues in South Australia.
The band's producer, and guitarist Richie, with the assistance of band members, created, organised, and funded the “Adelaide Young Bands Challenge”; a challenge for high school aged young bands. The bands were to absorb a large amount of industry knowledge and performance advice, and apply it within a given period. It was good to see so many young people being so inspired, working so hard, and really getting their act together!
In March 1999, after two cassette releases to a faithful local following, the debut CD was released. Copies were sent around the country, and a good deal of interest was shown by all, including well respected music lawyer (and specialist in intellectual copyright), Colin Seeger, who then, and has since, pushed the recording in Australia, and in various parts of the world.
The band and the release were referred to as a model to aspire to during education modules at the “Music Business Management” course at the South Australian Music Industry Association.
The band members feel good about the buzz that Waiting for Venus has caused in South Australia. The band gained notoriety by a constant active presence in the industry, and by being a positive force for all that came into contact with it. Waiting for Venus has influenced many local, and interstate musicians, as well as the public, to do good things for not only themselves, but for our fellow creatures in nature, and the environment in general.
As yet they've not made a million dollars from Anomaly, but with multi award winning songwriter and guitarist Richie Robinson, heading production, and some of the best musicians the country has to offer cutting thier sound for this release, it has timeless appeal, and is will always be good listen.
More recently, the band members have been busy with their own projects. All of them are doing well, from regular Triple J play to recent local support for Killing Heidi. When W4V perform live again, it will be a formidable onstage team that takes up the role!!
Currently, the bands' music lawyer Colin Seeger is shopping Anomaly in the US.
Anomaly was previously signed to publisher Blue Pie. The cd and mp3s will soon be independently available online.
